FOGGING SYSTEM
K°NOW HOW
HOT SUMMER - REDUCED HEAT EXCHANGE ?
During hot summer periods certain sites experience increased ambient temperatures. This can have a negative effect on the potential heat exchange and therefore on the plant’s total efficiency.
K°NOW HOW TO SOLVE IT !
Fogging can reverse this effect, by simply decreasing the ambient air temperature.

The Kelvion Fogging System has two parts: a pumping skid that sends demineralised water at pressure to a bank of nozzles located at each fan inlet. The water is atomised and is evaporated into the air and as such decreases significantly the inlet air temperature.
This solution has a control system that actuates the series of pumps. The control system measures ambient temperatures and humidity to calculate the required water flow and optimises it towards the nozzles.
When the water is atomised, it undergoes an adiabatic phase, reducing the air temperature as it reaches the dew point.
KELVIONS AUDIT PROGRAM
Kelvion provides the Fogging System solution as a revamp option after an audit of the units concerned.
The Kelvion Fogging System can be easily retrofitted to an existing plant. Our Kelvion experts will do the design according to customer requirements to get a 100% performance, and above.
EFFECTS ON YOUR PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE
The life cycle curve of the heat exchanger can be shortened when hot ambient temperatures prevent it from working at full capacity.
Our regular service can deal with overheating before it becomes an issue, and one that would result in lower performance and profitability.
Thanks to our fogging system the potential heat exchange during higher than design temperature periods is increased, adding value to the heat exchanger and extending its life cycle.
Contribution to the environment
As a result, the technical service life of a product is increased, fewer new products will therefore have to be produced overall in order to provide a required function on a permanent basis. This saves not only money, but also decreases both the material and the energy consumption for a sustainable business.
