FOULING ON HEAT EXCHANGERS ?
Heat exchangers can become fouled by the accumulation of unwanted deposits on heat transfer surfaces. The fouling layer imposes an additional resistance to the heat transfer, as the unwanted deposits block the airflow, increasing the velocity for a given volumetric flow rate.

Fouling increases the overall thermal resistance and lowers the overall heat transfer coefficient of heat exchangers. It also impedes fluid flow, accelerates corrosion and increases pressure drop across heat exchangers.
K°NOW HOW TO SOLVE IT !
Our Kelvion Cleaning Machine is used on a semi regular basis to remove any external fouling of the Air Fin Cooler or Air-Cooled Condenser bundles.
It comprises of two parts:
a pumping skid that sends water at pressure to the bundles and a semi-automatic machine placed on the top row of the bundles, fitted with a manifold and nozzle spray head.

The cleaning machine is operated by a team of 2-3 people.
The main control system is operated via a remote control. This controls the on/off switch of the pump, the up/down motion of the nozzle manifold, the emergency stop as well as other options.
The water is pumped at 150 l/min and provides a top down clean of the tubes.
